Privacy Policy.
This policy explains what data Hirilondë collects in the Stampbook iOS app, how we use it, and the choices you have. If anything is unclear, email tech [at] hirilonde.com.
Who we are
Hirilondë is a technology company based in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. Stampbook is an iOS application published by Hirilondë. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Hirilondë. “You” refers to the person using Stampbook.
What we collect in Stampbook
Stampbook collects only what it needs to let you capture, store, and optionally share photo stamps with friends. Specifically:
- 01Account info. When you sign in, we receive your email address and a unique user ID from your chosen provider (Sign in with Apple, Google, or email link). If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may provide a relay email; we only ever see the relay.
- 02Your username and profile. The username you choose and any optional profile information (display name, bio, avatar photo) that you add.
- 03Photos you capture. Photos you take in the app are stored locally on your device. When you choose to share a moment with friends, the photo and its metadata (title, description, tags, stamp style) are uploaded to our servers. Moments you keep private never leave your device.
- 04Social interactions. When you follow another user, like a moment, or leave a comment, that action and its content are stored on our servers and visible to the relevant users.
What we do not collect
Stampbook does not include advertising SDKs or sell your data to anyone. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and there is no App Tracking Transparency prompt because we have nothing to ask for. Private moments — those you never mark as shared — are never uploaded and we cannot access them.
Camera and photo library
The app requests access to your camera to capture stamps. It also requests read access to your photo library so you can import existing photos, and write access to save shared stamps back to your library if you choose to. You can revoke these permissions at any time from iOS Settings → Privacy & Security.
How we use your data
We use your account info and moment data to operate Stampbook: to let you sign in, store your local moments, sync shared moments with your friends, power the social feed, and support your account if you ask us to. We do not use your data for advertising or for training AI models.
Where your data is stored
Account, profile, and shared moment data is stored using Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Cloud Storage), which runs on Google Cloud infrastructure. Firebase acts as a data processor on our behalf. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. The Firestore and Storage regions are set to the United States.
If you sign in with Google or Apple, your sign-in request passes through those providers' respective authentication services. Each has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your credentials.
Push notifications
With your permission, Stampbook sends push notifications (for follows, likes, and comments) via Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple's Push Notification service. You can disable notifications at any time from iOS Settings → Notifications.
Your rights
You can:
- See and edit your profile and shared moments inside the app.
- Ask for a copy of your data by emailing lm [at] hirilonde.com.
- Delete your account from inside the app, or by emailing us. Account deletion removes your Firestore data, stored images, and authentication record.
- Revoke camera and photo library access at any time from iOS Settings.
- If you are in the EEA, UK, or California, you also have rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA — including the right to access, correct, or delete data, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
Data retention
We keep your account and moment data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete the corresponding Firestore documents, stored images, and authentication record. Some information may remain in backups for up to 30 days before being purged.
Children
Stampbook is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided data to us, email tech [at] hirilonde.com and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we handle data, we'll update this page and change the “last updated” date. For significant changes that affect existing users, we'll also notify you inside the app or by email.
